(Kingston, WA.)  Fischer Painting, Inc. – a Local Company Completes the Summit at Bay Vista, Bremerton’s Newest Neighborhood 

Fischer Painting, Inc. completes The Summit at Bay Vista, Bremerton Housing Authority’s new 83-unit affordable apartment building.   Fischer Painting painted both the interior and exterior of the striking landmark in the revitalization of the City of Bremerton.  The rich bold colors are very eye pleasing when viewed from Highway 3.

Working through one of the longest, wettest and coldest winters in recent history required Fischer Painting, Inc. to be responsive and nimble.  The company’s total commitment to quality helped ensure overall success of the project.  This project enabled Fischer Painting to blend the experience of a large general contractor with the drive of a small entrepreneurial business.  The projects commitment to hire local companies whenever possible provides opportunities for small local business and thus has contributed significantly to the local community.

Fischer Painting, in business since 2004, is a family owned business headquartered inKingston,WA.  They currently employ 12 painters.

Doug Fischer graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996.  His painting career began with summer jobs while working his way through college.  Immediately after college Doug worked in the computer industry.  However, the appeal of running one’s own business eventually drew him to Kitsap County, where he could combine his drive to build a business and a commitment to his new community.  Doug moved to Kitsap County to establish Fischer Painting, Inc. and served as a volunteer firefighter for North Kitsap Fire and Rescue as his small company grew.

Doug’s wife is a partner in the business, bringing her over 20 years experience with a general contractor. Her familiarity with construction processes, her expertise in general accounting, accounts payable and receivables, including prevailing wage payroll, were key to the successful launch of their business.
